01 ) Nowhere to Hide
When I came upon my troops
They were cold and tired
In the face of this battle
They seemed so uninspired
I led them all down into an all too familiar cave
Each one amongst them was afraid it would be their grave
for
[Chorus]
Down to a man they had been broken
In matters relating to their pride
Too many of them were forsaken
And as a result too many had died
I had lead them off on many missions
Without thinking of how many of them would survive
They had laboured hard in bad conditions
Not one of them dared question my single-minded drive
for
[Chorus]
And if you had been hoping
That I would leave this door open
You had better be approaching this house
From the other side
I got pretty good at coping
Because I can't spend my days moping
And I've been to many places
But I've found nowhere to hide
Yes, I've
Been to many places
But I've found nowhere to hide.

02) 8:15 a.m.
She was blinded by the blast
And then overrun
By the shelves of books behind her
Showered by the glass of flying glass
That used to be a window
Through which she could admire
A city that was now in flames
She had not seen the plane
Not having heard the blast
She could not have guessed that
[CHORUS]
Many people were vaporised
And the pavement memorized
Their shadows as they left their lives
In such a legendary time
Harnessing the power of a small sun
A hundred thousand people
Could now be killed at once
And many more would die slowly
Alongside their young
Stricken by a sickness there was no protection from
In a city now in flames
They had not seen the plane
Not having heard the blast
They could not have guessed that
[CHORUS]
And as their skin hung off in sleeves
They chose to admit defeat
For after all what does one say
When one nation has the power to
Decimate the human race

03) Old
She sees you looking at pictures of her
Feeling all the while
The glory it would bring you
To scrape her clean and tame her wilds
[CHORUS]
You hate her because she’s old
According to money’s sense of time
You hate her because she’s old
And you weren’t alive to rape her in her prime
You call her decadent
Leaving all of nature’s truth behind
The gold beneath her surface is the wisdom of age
And you’ll never find the mine
[CHORUS]
Your pleasure depends on someone else
You’re trapped in a childhood cage
You don’t even bother to learn anymore
You’re getting off on having people cower at your rage

04) Fits in a Suitcase
Some days when I wake up
I know that I am alive
I’m comfortably complacent in the First World
And the luxury weighs on my mind
For what am I doing to help change the system
That keeps the Third World at the end of a gun
[CHORUS]
And if when I go nothing remains of me
I just hope I will have helped someone
Soya beans that could feed many a family
Instead are fattening up the beef
Fed to America and its children
Who more than ever are obese
Now some people have told me that this world’s problems
Are too big and not much can be done by one person
[CHORUS]
Is it simplistic to allocate blame?
Are the dice not loaded in this
New World Order game
I recently read that the modern version
Of the bomb they dropped on the rising sun
Fits in a suitcase is easily carried and could be owned by anyone
With this in mind if I chose to take up arms
I would never waste money on a gun
And if when I go I take Washington with me
I just hope that it helps someone
And if when I go I take D.C. with me
I just hope that it helps someone
Yeah, if when I go nothing remains of me
I just hope I will have helped someone
I just hope I will have helped someone

05) Kiss
I know your name
I know your sign
I hope you’ll call me
If you find the time
[CHORUS]
‘Cause if you don’t call
How are we supposed to kiss
I feel there’s so much
That we’re going to miss
If you don’t call
You took some time
To go away
Are you back
Or are you gone to stay
Are you looking at a name and number
Thinking that it’s late
You always come to me, Boy, in my slumber
Will you come in person if I wait
I can’t wait
‘Cause
[CHORUS]

06) Since I Met You
If I was made of milk
Then you would be the cream
You are the perfect sum
Of all my dreams
You have an effect on me that is pure and clean
It needs no explanation
I know just what it means
[CHORUS]
You bring out the best in me
You show me things I cannot see
And I swear to God I have been changing since we met
You bring out the best in me
You show me things I cannot see
And I swear to God I have been changing since I met…
You are the one
I’ve been waiting for for years
You single-handedly
Wipe away my fears
You have an effect on me that is pure and clean
It needs no explanation
I know just what it means
[CHORUS]
When I look at you I get a feeling deep inside
A light inside of me glows in reaction to your name
When we’re getting closer and the feeling starts to burn
I’m afraid that we could soon be bursting into flames
I find myself shining like a mirror in your light
I cannot help but ask you, “Will you be my wife”?
[CHORUS]

07) From Your Love
When I look up into your eyes
I can see the open gates of paradise
It seems that I have finally found the right path
Now that you have become my better half
[CHORUS]
‘Cause I can’t walk away from your love
I can’t walk away from your love
Can the see walk away from the sky above
No, I can’t walk away from your love.
Push comes to shove, you choose to fly away.
Exactly nine months to this day.
My love was true. I suffered through the daily news.
Sifting through your emails for the slightest of clues.
[CHORUS]
I’m fighting off armies of athletic banalities.
I’m wading through a sea of endless triviality.
And somewhere in the deep your voice just keeps on calling me.
It isn’t doing me much good.
[CHORUS]

08) Waiting for the Summer
You know it’s true
You must go out and do what is right for you
Regardless of whether or not she says I do
You know it’s true
[CHORUS]
Please try and work through winter
You can’t always waste time
Waiting for the Summer
Look at her face
Is she someone you could ever hope to replace
Look at her face
[CHORUS 2]
And try and work through winter
You can’t always waste time
Waiting for the Summer
After all the time that we have spent on the telephone.
You can throw your doors wide open. I am coming home.
To your sunshine and your palm trees.
To your Sunday Service that we can spend on our knees.
There comes a time
When we must account for all our heinous crimes.
There comes a time.
[CHORUS 1]
After all the time that we have spent on the telephone.
You can throw your doors wide open. I am coming home.
To your palm trees and your sunshine.
To the day when I hope that I can make you mine.
You know it’s true
You must go out and do what is right for you
Regardless of whether or not she says I do
You know it’s true
Please try and work through winter
You can’t always waste time
[Repeat]
Please try and work through winter
You can’t always waste time
Waiting for the Summer
You know it’s true. [x4]

09) S.W.M.
What do I have to do to convince you that rape is wrong.
Is it something you have to realize on your own.
If you knew your mother had been raped
And you might now have been alive today
Would it help you change your mind and change your ways
What made you into the monster you are today.
How long can you blame your childhood and your fate.
Some people would kill you for revenge and would not hesitate
To put an end to what you perpetrate.
[CHORUS]
I’m sick and tired of being ashamed of the behaviour of my gender.
Whose solutions are few and far between.
I have some idea of how I want the world to be.
So, let the revolution start with me.
I knew a girl who was raped as a child. Her best friend’s father was a pedophile.
I fell in love with her, but she was cautious for a while, ‘cause it took a lot of work to make her smile.
I knew a woman raped as an adult. She kept herself locked up in a vault.
Finding the combination proved to be quite difficult, and I could not accept that it was my fault.
Even when she wears your ring. Even when she says I do.
She is still her own person. She does not belong to you.
She’s completely free and she’s not forced to serve you on her knees.
I have some idea of how I want the world to be.
So, let the revolution start with me.

10) Once Impossibilities
There once was a boy who wanted to kill himself.
So, he just wasted ten years of his life.
He was afraid to dive into unknown waters.
So, he let the flames consume him every night.
The deepest part of emptiness
Is deep within your own human soul.
I hope you can find your way back home
Before you think that you have grown too old
[CHORUS]
(‘Cause I’m) falling deeply in love with everything I see.
I see the prize and I know the pain was meant to be.
[Repeat]
Further along on a rope that gives me enough slack.
Further along, take two steps forward for each step back.
I am amazed that I am beginning to see
Feasible things that were once impossibilities.
The deepest part of emptiness
Is deep within your own human soul.
I hope you can find your way back home
Before you think that you have grown too old
[CHORUS]
There comes a time in everybody’s life
When the water seems to rise until it almost hits the ceiling.
People point to all the good things in your life.
And then, everything can fit, without having any meaning.
We’ve fallen on some desperate days
Where desperate thoughts lead to desperate ways.
And, somehow in these desperate days
I have finally made sense of my life.
My life.
I have finally made sense of my life.
And, I’m…
(‘Cause I’m) falling deeply in love with everything I see.
I see the prize and I know the pain was meant to be.
[Repeat]
